Our School Upon the Hill

Welcome to Windsor Hills Math/Science and Aerospace Elementary School, home of the Tigers!

Nestled tightly in the gorgeous historic neighborhood of Windsor Hills, our mission is to maximize every scholar’s learning potential within an atmosphere of authentic instructional experiences, with an application through a cultural lens that embraces an interdisciplinary approach which will prepare them to be globally prepared and competitive for college, career and beyond in the 21st Century. Our scholars develop critical thinking & analytical skills through meaningful participation in culturally relevant and linguistically responsive instructional strategies and targeted instructional content in Science, Math, Aerospace, Art, Robotics & Technology. Our diverse campus comprised of a little under 500 students grades TK through 5th coming from numerous neighborhoods from surrounding areas, create a diverse collection of scholarly minds ready to learn. With a staff focused on rigorous curriculum and instruction, the use of data to guide instruction, culturally relevant pedagogical practices, and teacher collaboration, scholars are mentored, taught and engaged in challenging learning experiences that opens their minds and prepares them to be college-bound future scholars. We pride ourselves in providing numerous opportunities for parents to be engaged in the school and stay in the loop of our school happenings. Our teachers are qualified and prepared to not only meet the needs of our excelling scholars, but to also support social emotional growth and engage in parent collaboration. We believe that scholars can benefit from not only a rigorous educational experience, but also participation and exposure to activities that challenge the brain and open the heart.
