Principal's Message

pic

Hi, my name is Mr. Christopher K. Heim Sr. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where I graduated as class salutatorian of my high school class. I went on to attend Louisiana Tech University as a Mechanical Engineering student –where I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. I later transferred to Cal State Dominguez Hills where I changed my major and began my pursuit of excellence in the field of education. I consider myself a true humanitarian whose belief system is centered around the concept of “Children First,” with a focus on making sure that all stakeholders are equipped to meet the needs of all students. I have been with LAUSD for 19 years, climbing the career ladder from long term substitute, to teacher, to coordinator, to Assistant Principal, to my new position as Principal of Windsor Hills Elementary Mathematics/Science Aerospace Magnet.

Some of my career highlights have included original programs and activities such as, but not limited to the following: The Great Initiators Boys Club of Dr. Owen Lloyd Knox ES (T.G.I.), Angeles Mesa Robotics Club, The Fellowship Tutoring Program, Being the New Teacher Institute, writer, producer, and director of two African American stage plays called “A Musical Journey of the Soul,” and “Our Voice Matters.” I am looking forward to meeting and collaborating with all stakeholders at Windsor Hills Elementary School to begin our joint venture of discovering new ideas, establishing effective strategies, and launching our school into areas of academic and social excellence. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, watching sporting events, perfecting my BBQ skills, monitoring the stock market, and spending time with my family.

I look forward to serving and working with each one of you.
